Born and raised in Maryland, I am a video editor, an author, Shakespeare enthusiast, cinephile, and all-around geek. At three, I was quoting The Wizard of Oz. I have worked in media production for eight years and, now based in New Market, Maryland, I work full-time as a writer and video editor for DUO Media Productions.

When I’m not working, you can find me dreaming and scheming at the local coffee house.

The biggest hurdle I’ve had to overcome is self-doubt; getting past negative critique and trusting in myself to improve and work past it. Having a filmmaking background, I’m used to being part of a team, but, by comparison, working as an author is a much more solitary endeavor. So: that support system, that encouragement is invaluable. I never would have made it here without the support of fellow authors and friends.
Even if you don’t realize or accept the praise or support you get from them at the time, it does sink in on a subconscious level. At least, it did for me.

I’m touring the book when and where I can; first stop was MAG Fest 2018, I’ve got a few pending events at various local bookshops and coffeehouses in my town of Frederick, MD. I snagged a booth at the forthcoming Baltimore Comic Con, I’m pre-planning for NaNoWriMo, developing a podcast with friend and colleague, and, as part of Star Wipe Films, we’re undertaking multiple film competitions this year.(less)

“The story is always better than your ability to write it.”

J.K. Rowling
“Fred and George, however, found all this very funny. They went out of
their way to march ahead of Harry down the corridors, shouting, "Make way for
the Heir of Slytherin, seriously evil wizard coming through ......

Percy was deeply disapproving of this behavior.

"It is not a laughing matter," he said coldly.

"Oh, get out of the way, Percy," said Fred. "Harry's in a hurry."

"Yeah, he's off to the Chamber of Secrets for a cup of tea with his fanged
servant," said George, chortling.

Ginny didn't find it amusing either.

"Oh, don't," she wailed every time Fred asked Harry loudly who he was
planning to attack next, or when George pretended to ward Harry off with a large
clove of garlic when they met.”

Charles Frazier
“That's just pain she said. It goes eventually. And when it's gone, there's no lasting memory. Not the worst of it anyway. It fades. Our minds aren't made to hold on to the particulars of pain the way we do bliss. It's a gift God gives us, a sign of His care for us.”
Charles Frazier, Cold Mountain
