Russell Turnbull was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1972. Due to an extremely volatile childhood and at a very young age, he developed his fantasy world, now known as the realm of Beornan Heafod. His series, 'The Scorpion Chronicles' is based within this world.

Russell Turnbull answered Goodreads's question: If you could travel to any fictional book world, where would you go and what would you do there? Besides the obvious choice of being a character in Beornan Heafod (The Scorpion Chronicles), I would probably be a smuggler in the Star Wars Galaxy.
