This is not just an Aussie problem, right? You know what she's talking about. It’s a worldwide problem, no discrimination whether you're a kid, an adult, male or female!

It's when you go to your washing basket, or your drawers to pull out a pair of socks, only to find ONE single sock and the other is nowhere to be found. This was a mystery that Linda needed to explore. From this true story of ‘who stole my socks?’ echoing throughout her house, the story of Ike and The Sock Monster was born. The Sock Monster is enjoyed by children aged 3- 7 years old (and their parents too!)

Her second picture book, The Night Noise, was published in Sydney by Cilento Publishing in October 2020. The Night Noise has themes about fear, courage and family, featuring rhyming language starring a little girl named Quinn and her Daddy, with a special guest appearance from a well loved Australian animal, a ring tail possum. This picture book is beautifully illustrated with watercolour pictures by Juan Carlos Rodriguez.

Linda writes books exploring child-centred topics involving family, kindness and friendship issues for the younger generation. They encourage lively discussion between parents and their children, and teachers with their class. She loves being a storyteller, a primary school and special education teacher and working with children of all abilities and ages.

Guest author readings for libraries, preschools, schools and bookstores can be booked through her website.
Linda's had various media appearances, including interviews on Australia wide Channel 9’s Weekend Today show and Radio Northern Beaches, in newspapers including The Daily Telegraph, and being one of the guest speakers for a Sydney event on women leadership, and kindness.

Linda's other love is writing poetry, creating original poetry forms and setting writing challenges to encourage creativity. Linda has co-authored eleven adult poetry anthologies which cover the many themes about love and life, as well as one poetry book for children. 2021 happily began with the release of her poetry chapbook, Ink Quilled Thoughts on January 21, followed closely with her debut poetry collection book Scattered Syllables on February 7, 2021.
