Eric Rasmussen, Ph.D., is a children and media researcher, husband and father to four daughters. A native Oregonian, Dr. Rasmussen now lives in Texas where he is an assistant professor in the College of Media & Communication at Texas Tech University.

Dr. Rasmussen earned his Ph.D. from The Ohio State Univesity where he began studying the effects that media has on children and what parents can do to minimize those effects. The impetus for writing "Media Maze" was Rasmussen's lament that academic research is virtually inaccessible to the people who need it most--parents!
