What Does It Mean?

One penned a poem

a picture on each page—

scrapbook to pass down

to tell a fairy-tale

or share a nightmare…

Summer Grass

Back against the grass,

marshmallow clouds pass…

Inner child,

come out to play!

Let’s imagine

once more today…

Word Watercolors

She paints a poem,

on the wall of her mind—

watches the paint dry

Lovely chapbook!

Through My Good Eye: A Memoir in VerseThrough My Good Eye: A Memoir in Verse by Rebecca L. Holland

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

All can relate to the poetry in this lovely chapbook! I paused and reflected after each poem, and I plan on rereading this book (not to miss any feelings behind the words). “A Wish” was one of my favorite poems…as I have a passion for reading and writing. Rebecca inspires me, and I enjoy following her on Twitter and Instagram. God bless!

Life’s Road

Wend around another bend,

Thrill to think,

Never know next,

Expect no end,

Not now,

Know it will.

Right is wrong,

Left is last.

Fast forward,

Flash faces,

Forget the finish.

Turn around.

One of my favorite Frost quotes…

“Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.” – Robert Frost
