Writer of science fiction, fantasy, horror and contemporary fiction from Michigan.
I think a story should be entertaining, but should handle social and class issues in order to be an accurate portrayal of our world. I value honest resolution over shock-value, and happy endings wherever possible, especially for my LGBT characters. None of my books will ever use artificial intelligence, because AI is theft. Nothing terribly great about it, nothing terribly terrible either. Keeps the attention without giving the genre anything new. Flounders in the last 1/4 in my opinion.

A bit mid at times but the ideas are out there and the ending is touching, full of humanity. Typical Simak. My man.
