I was born in West Allis, Wisconsin, and my family moved up to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan when I was about two and a half years old.
I fell in love with writing in the fifth grade. Something about Murder She Wrote inspired me to start writing novels, and I haven't quit since.
I attended the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay for two and a half years, where I majored in English-Creative Writing with a minor in Communications.
I returned home to the UP where I still live.
I excelled at several different full-time positions after college, everything ranging from grocery store clerk, motel night auditor, housekeeping, and am now a bank teller at a local financial institution. All of which helped enhance my writing.

And sure enough I'll look back on it the next day or even a couple hours later and hate pretty much everything I wrote. It's better for me to just step away, watch a little tv, or read; anything to take my mind off whatever scene I'm trying to write. (less)

I love being able to get to people's emotions, so I'm thrilled whenever words I've written evoke strong emotions in people. It's kind of surreal too. I can't wrap my brain around the fact that my writing can make people angry or cry. That just floors me!(less)
