BARBARA VON DER OSTEN lives in Florida and North Carolina and is the author of European Daze: A Model Memoir about her days modeling in New York and Europe in the mid-1980s. She is also the co-author of the book LST 388: A World War II Journal, based on her father’s journal entries from World War II. Her hobbies include scuba diving, hiking, traveling, and reading, and she continues to let her rescue kittens turn her into a cat person (although she always thought she was a dog person).
