C. D. Basso was born and raised in Linden, New Jersey. A freelance writer, violinist and composer, he began his musical studies at the age of seven, attending the Montclair State University Preparatory Center for the Arts, eventually performing with both the New Jersey and New York Youth Symphonies. After gaining extensive orchestral experience with the Rutgers Symphony Orchestra, he nowadays finds himself writing by day and performing by night (not necessarily in that order).

An avid vegetarian, his other professional skills include binge-watching old reruns of The Golden Girls, drinking way too much coffee, and listening to the same songs over and over again.

“-“Dammit! Don’t do that!” I hissed.
-“Would you prefer I not be myself around you?” he breathed, his warm, marble arms entangling their way around my waist. “After all the lying we both did to each other the past few weeks, wouldn’t you prefer some honesty now?”
-“Yeah. Just give me some warning.”
