Paul Madden grew up in Monaghan, Ireland, and attended St. Macartan’s College. He studied Theology and Psychology at All Hallows College, Dublin.

After graduating, he travelled to China. On returning, he worked on a gay men’s health initiative in Cork.

He completed a degree in Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy at CIT.

He later moved to England and worked in London’s NHS sexual health and HIV clinics. Over time, he became an accredited counsellor and psychotherapist (BACP) and built a private practice.

He is the author of The G Club, a novel about grief, addiction, love and recovery. His second title, Star People, also speaks to themes of identity, loss and belonging.
