Jessica Ryen Doyle grew up in a sleepy upstate New York suburb and graduated college with a bachelor's degree in organizational communications from the University of Central Florida.

She interned in Indianapolis doing event planning -- behind-the-scenes logistical work.

She then transitioned into journalism with Gannett: first as an entertainment reporter, then as a courts & cops reporter and finally, working with online media. She knew about hashtags and handles before the anyone else! She taught her colleagues how to upload their articles using content management systems and SEOs. Ryen Doyle also co-founded a free magazine called FUSION, which acted as a supplement to the newspaper's weekend guide insert.

Later, Ryen Doyle began a career as a health editor for FOX News Channel, where she was responsible for getting breaking news stories onto the website, attending editorial meetings, and writing scripts for on-air talent (both radio and TV).

She kept producers abreast of any new information that might be relevant to the day's shows. She organized freelancers and outside content, but still managed to write articles that were sometimes paired with producers and videos. Often those segments were aired on FOX 5 News in New York City and overseas; but sometimes on the channel itself or on "The Strategy Room."

The articles she most enjoyed writing were those that had a celebrity pitch attached (for example, Jennifer Grey and her advocacy for chronic pain); and articles that focused on stem cells and autoimmune diseases.

She published her first novel, "Family Tree" in 2017.

Ryen Doyle now lives with her family in Connecticut where she continues to write freelance assignments and work with designers recruiting models for New York Fashion Week.

She is hard at work on her memoir detailing a two-decade abusive marriage and how she was able to finally push through the red flags and escape,
