A. M. Watson is a teacher, attorney, and author whose soul awakens when visiting libraries, museums, and historic sites. She lives on an island in Maine where she manages an electric utility by day and writes overlooking the harbor by night. She fell in love with and married a commercial lobsterman in 2022, becoming a bonus mom to his boys. Torn between her love for the ocean and the mountains, she lives by the water and considers the mountains of Victor, Colorado home.

I just reread The Anastasia Syndrome after a few decades. It is still one of my favorite short stories. Its theme prompts a timeless thrill of possibilities.
