AnnMarie Pavese lives in the rocky, forested mountains of Arizona, under the towering shadow of the Mogollon Rim, which was a huge inspiration in the creation of Frostholm. Her writing journey began at twenty-one years old, when, during a season of heavy loss and deep grief, she was encouraged to write down her daydreams as a form of self-therapy. What followed was a battle scene depicting two captive girls with swords, driving back hordes of enemies and refusing to surrender — the very first of a set of scribbled scenes that would go on to become So Sang The Dawn, five years later.

AnnMarie now spends her days writing, studying wildlife, adopting as many dogs as she’s able, and counseling the young women around her through the highs and low

Tammy Lash is on page 262 of 337 of White Wolf and the Ash Princess: "Going forward, no matter how small the step, is how you do it."
~Avery

Ten years later, Avery's words still echo in my mind. Avery's character was so intriguing, I had to explore his change further in Letters from the Dragon's son. I wanted to see through writing if he truly did change. If he did, what did that look like? Most importantly, what would he be willing to go through to get his beloved son back?

" Tubs and Avery together are such a great combination. Avery getting to show his soft side, and Tubs, young and naive enough to let him. Love it. ♥️ "

"Pick," Avery grins.
Tubs smiles and taps a hand. It is the wrong one. Avery puts his hands behind his back and shuffles the rock between them. He lets him pick again. He lets him pick until he wins.

I don't have many good memories, but the painful ones are no longer red and inflamed, and they haven't been for some time. This was a sweet memory of "Avery" and I was happy to share it in the story.

Tammy Lash is on page 229 of 337 of White Wolf and the Ash Princess: Twenty-six:
"Today is a day for gifts," he says. "White wolves are never seen....is not the impossible possible with God? Can He not lead the wolf of your tomahawk to you? You are blessed, sister--you have not one but two white wolves."

Why am I crying at this today, for crying out loud?

Tammy Lash
Tammy Lash is on page 195 of 337 of White Wolf and the Ash Princess: Chapter 22. Izzy's transformation is beginning and we have come full circle with the bat scene in Chapter One. Avery is coming on the scene soon and I have mixed feelings about meeting him again after new developments in my own life. Avery became a character because my heart begged for him. He was a dream that is becoming to late to come true and I accept that. Some Edwards don't have the tools to become Averys.
