Ellison Cooper has a Ph.D. in anthropology from UCLA, with a background in archaeology, cultural neuroscience, ancient religion, colonialism, and human rights. She has conducted fieldwork in Central America, West Africa, Micronesia, and Western Europe. She has worked as a murder investigator in Washington DC, and is a certified K9 Search and Rescue Federal Disaster Worker. She now lives in the Bay Area with her husband and son.

To be honest, I have a million ideas but I love writing the characters in the Altair books so much that I hope I get to keep writing this series for a very long time. I actually have the next 8 Altair books outlined where the reader will find out exactly what happened to Sayer's fiancé (concluded in book 3 which I'm working on now), plus we will eventually dive into some of Nana's secret past and learn more about Subject 037, a dangerous psychopath (introduced in Buried, book 2) who develops an unhealthy obsession with Sayer.(less)
