‘One spoon at a time’ is live

ONE SPOON AT A TIME is finally out on Amazon. The book leaves us with a thought that if life feeds us with one spoon of sorrow, it will feed us some spoons of sweetness too. It’s necessary for us to taste both to respect what life offers us, accept it wholeheartedly and be hopeful for a better chunk in the next spoon.

Steps to Download:-

1. Go to https://www.amazon.in/dp/B07Z7DYRHY

2. Buy the copy using your Amazon account

3. Once bought, go to play store and download the ‘Kindle Direct publishing’ app on your mobile

4. Login using your Amazon credentials (use the ones you bought the book with)

5. You should see the book in your library

6. Download the copy and start reading

I have spent the past 1.5 years on this book, I would love to have your 1.5 mins for providing me an honest feedback on Amazon and Goodreads. Do mention your name in the review so that I will know whom to thank.

One spoon at a time

What inspired me to write my upcoming book ‘One spoon at a time’? Check out this entry that I had submitted for a contest on StoryMirror:

“fifty years from now

when we have travelled a long way

and at the end of the journey we have reached

when my legs have had their last walk

and the blood in my veins has almost frozen

when my trembling voice is aching your ears

and the sound of my shivering teeth is enough to break the silence in the room

when I am stealing some breaths from death

and the clock is echoing my last moments

I would be looking into your eyes like I had when we had first met

and my heart would still be found diving in the dimple on your left cheek

at that very moment, I want you to rest my head on your lap, give me a smile

and feed into me life one spoon at a time.”

– Shweta Tale

It’s taking a little longer for the book to be available on the Indian marketplace due to some technical difficulties at Amazon’s end; it’s available on rest of the Amazon marketplaces. Hoping it to be available everywhere soon.

Over and over again

Over and over again

I have patiently heard people talk their hearts out.

Over and over again

they have failed to listen to mine.

you owe me

you owe me every glance you saved for the next meet

I owe you thousands of them

I could never gather the courage to share.

Deserve what you love, love what you deserve

When you decide to not settle for something less than what you deserve, be ready for life throwing tantrums at you. You will be shown every now and then that what you are expecting is more than what you deserve; that it is far beyond your reach. You will often end up crying at your inability to prove that you do deserve what you want. You will break to such an extent that you will give up more times than you can imagine. Hold on. Be patient. When you know what your worth is, when you know what you deserve, love it hard and move towards achieving it no matter what. One day you will not just deserve it, you will show the world that you were meant for it. Life has an amazing way of giving you what you deserve, you just don’t have to give up untill you achieve it.

Deserve what you love, love what you deserve.

Lost

I am missing my own self today.

The me in me is lost somewhere between the dark woods of the past.

I still see a ray of light out there

but I am too afraid to follow the lead.

The shackles of my own deeds have made my feet heavy and numb

and I can no longer move out in the sun.

I seem to have made peace with my

own darkness and these demons have taken over my true self.

The self that I had loved for a long

and the self that I so badly adored.

From my debut book ‘…and you say you know her?’

Rain

every drop of rain on my body

causes thunders in my heart

and as I stop the teardrops from falling

I fill my diary with poetic scars.
