I am from the Southwest of England. Originally born in Plymouth, for the last Twenty years I have made my home in Exeter.
My husband and I together have raised 3 children, and currently have seven grandchildren. We both have part time jobs and family still living in Plymouth. Life is very busy but any opportunity I get I write.
I love writing Poems, Short Stories about Knights, Ghosts and Vampires as well as writing stories for young children.
I enjoy reading poetry of all types and my favourite poets are Edward Lear, Rupert Brookes, John Betjeman, Alfred Noyes, Charles Bukowski and Benjamin Zephaniah to name a few.
I love reading books of most genres, romance, thrillers, classics, autobiographies, fantasy. My current favourites are Delia Owens

As long as my story entertains the child and maybe they learn something along the way, I am happy.(less)

Looking forward to the weekend

its been an interesting week.
Tuesday I received a phone call asking if I would accept a short notice for my minor op of having a cyst removed from my wrist on Thursday.
I accepted it and on Thursday I had the op, came out with a large bandage and a sling, which in my naivety I hadn't expected,
Today I had lunch with my Mum, Aunties, and Cousins, a lovely girly catch up.
This evening I am sat here wri Read more of this blog post »

“Don't give me truth, just give me gossip
And skeletons from people's closets,
I wanna be normal
And millions buy it,
I am blinded by The SUN.”

Benjamin Zephaniah, Refugee Boy

“ Now The Head Lines

How do you like your truth?
Gently spoken on breakfast TV
By a man and a woman who sit comfortably
Saying riots, and murder, when will it end?
As they struggle to act as if they are good friends.

How do you like your truth?
Bite-sized in sound bites cut easy to chew, With a talking head saying the victim's like you
And when you've digested the horrors you've seen
You find good, you find evil, and no in-between.

How do you like your truth?
Fantastic, sensational, printed in bold,
Today it's exclusive, tomorrow it's old,
All on the surface with nothin too deep
With a story about animals to help you to sleep

How do you like your youth?
From perfect families with parents thet care,
Or in perfect families but still in despair,
Ten out of ten parents say they'd not choose
To have bad kids like those in the news.”
Benjamin Zephaniah, Teacher's Dead: Nelson Thornes Page Turners

“Let us agree, we will be friends for all eternity.”
