I am an ex-British Army Captain that has served, as well as other places, in Iraq. During operations, I struggled to understand the misfortune brought on by war to ravaged communities and this has compelled me to write about the blend of science, religion, romance and combat that emerges from such places.

With regards to the science, I have been passionate about understanding the reality around us, both philosophically and scientifically, since I was a child. Any reader interested in the modern findings of neuroscience, AI and quantum computing would recognise the cutting-edge theories of famous thinkers such as Alan Turing, David Deutsch and Max Tegmark.
