The first set of characters were the bystanders under Wes' window when he was declaring his love half naked for Wes.

The second time it became officially the Project Balthasar and it populated the Circeius with very interesting characters: Argi, Amparo, Bobo, Hytthia, Rudo and the accidental killer "the Lutenist" Lento, all of the acrobats and Circe's tailors Euryalo and Medusa, The Anises - husband wife and children - and Allegra!There was a fortune teller that did not make it but I will try to incorporate her now: Sybilla.

Nicoli was part of the project Balthasar too :D

 Hello everyone,

As you may have read in my short story: On Fire I was struggling with a dynia last year and am trying to manage a second one this year.

Nevertheless I have decided I could not let this stop me for much longer. I know I don't do things like popular artists, I don't kickstart, I don't Patreon, I don't make youtube video and my instagram is muribund. I have a bare tik tok channel and a few podcast.

I just sit and draw to tell stories.

But I have plans. In 2023 I have completed the lists of stories I had proposed - except for Frangipani who is not part of the current story I am developing and am starting. Queen Castalia.

I thought of going back to the long format, so this would be a twin saga to The Gem of the Mediterranean Sea and a sort of sequel to it.

It will cover the 3 years Castalia was away and fill the gaps and explore some of the characters we only saw as background but for whom I had created an entire backstory :D

I plan to use specific major arcana tarot card as the cover for the volumes.

So volume one has Castalia as The Fool.

We warned. There might be time skips, so I hope to keep it as clear as possible without using too many labels and sign : two years before, two years after by using maybe the way the characters look, their hair and clothes.

This current story begins right after Hugs.

Now I made a Timeline of all the stories and I am writing short summaries for the stories in case you forgot the major events and the characters involved.

I have also updated the downloads and updated them all the way to the recent release of Badia.

Mind you I am still fixing The Other Side Story, there are things that need to be fixed in terms of dialogues and lettering for that story and I need to make covers so I am slowly re-uploading it on Tapas and will then make Pdf for it too.

For the other Stories. The Mark of Cain has about 5 more months to go. Once it is over I will go back to the Delightfully victorian Tales of Love and Terror (sorry not before, because I realize I cannot handle 3 series at once while taking care of my health, as much as I would love two, if my affliction makes it impossible to sit down, I have to stand up and do something else).

 Hello guys you may have realized that Thepiratebalthasar.com has expired.

I tried very hard to figure out how to renew it but Google did not migrate the domain bought through blogger on Google Domains, instead it kept it on Google Suite (which I don't have).

For the past few years, however, the domain was set on automatic renewal - this year the gig is up.
I am actually pondering if I should get a Dedasaur Domain instead where you can find all of my comics, not just the Pirate Balthasar.

Meanwhile this it the LINK to the website (which is still up, just not with a domain).

I will update it will all the new stories soon.

But there might be stories and questions you would like me to answer. 

I thought I'd let you propose and then we vote to see which story goes first from the ones you propose (after I go through them to see if I have enough info to start them). So go here and propose

Updates for 2021 and plans for 2022. The Pirate Balthasar will reach its 12th year of publication in January and it will do so with our current story - formerly known as Family Traditions now Suddenly Unexpected Summer Storm.

Meanwhile, since The Other Side Story just ended, I recorded a podcast for the curiosities, easter eggs, and all those itsy bitsy details you might have missed and you can find it Here.



Currently:
- Delightfully Victorian Tales of Love and Terror is reaching its climax with the current installment of A handy tale!- The Mark of Cain is revisiting the myth of King Arthur and the Knights of the round table.- The Forgotten Muse is on hiatus until next year due to the fact that Emi and I are working on another big project that will keep us busy all the way through 2022.
As Sudden Storm and King Arthur will keep us company almost for the entire duration of 2022, you can look forward to the next chapter of Delightfully, where we circle back to Drew and Tazio for another thieving adventure and a murder mystery to be solved on a transatlantic ship. This little story will serve as a bridge to a Flashback story - "how I met your mother" style - about Drew and Tazio's parents and another one about Drew and Sybil.

as you may have realized I have run out of time to update the blog.

A quick update for this year:

- The Other Side Story and The Pirate Balthasar are about to converge

- The Mark of Cain has reaching Ptolemaic Egypt/Roman Empire

- Goldenice is finally in the middle of the heist

- Cicadas sings in winter is approaching its denument
