Peter was born and raised in New York City and Long Island. After attending law school, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career as an entertainment attorney. Today he is an author and award-winning internationally-published, fine art, portrait and commercial photographer based in the New York City area.

Peter spent the first part of his work life as an entertainment and intellectual property attorney in Los Angeles. Working in the film and television industries sparked his own interest in creativity and digital video and still photography soon became his passion.

Like many people, things changed dramatically for Peter in 2008. That year, following the turmoil of the Global Financial Crisis, he lost his law practice. In the days and weeks Peter was born and raised in New York City and Long Island. After attending law school, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career as an entertainment attorney. Today he is an author and award-winning internationally-published, fine art, portrait and commercial photographer based in the New York City area.

Peter spent the first part of his work life as an entertainment and intellectual property attorney in Los Angeles. Working in the film and television industries sparked his own interest in creativity and digital video and still photography soon became his passion.

Like many people, things changed dramatically for Peter in 2008. That year, following the turmoil of the Global Financial Crisis, he lost his law practice. In the days and weeks that followed he struggled with the question of what to do with the rest of his life. It was only after much deliberation that he decided to follow his passion for photography, and in late 2009, he began pursuing photography full-time.

But things didn’t go so well at first as he describes in his new book, “Be Bigger Than You Think You Are! Overcoming Our Self-Imposed Limits to Have the Life We Want”. He found that he faced many challenges in making the transition, including many limiting thoughts and beliefs around his worthiness as a creative person. For almost three years he fought to overcome this negative self image and eventually broke through in 2012 when he began to transform his life by changing his idea about himself.

Since that time, Peter had won 73 Awards for his photography and has had his images published nationally and internationally. Publications include The New York Post (11 times), The Times (London) (twice), The Daily Mirror (UK), The Daily Mail (UK), The Sun (AUS), The Daily Record (UK), The Daily Star(UK) and more. His photos have also been shown on several television programs including The Weather Channel’s “It’s Amazing Out There!”, “Good Day New York” (Fox 5 NY) (three times), and LIVE With Kelly (US syndicated). National Geographic Magazine selected one of his photos as “Photo of the Day” on their website and his images have been published in Digital Photo Magazine (US) (twice), ACS Magazine, and Lens Magazine (EUR) (twice). He was a finalist in The Weather Channel’s 2016 Photo Contest, as well as the 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2019 Empire State Building Photo Contests.

He is also an Official Photographer for Fireworks by Grucci®, one of the oldest and most well-known fireworks performance companies in the US. He travels the world photographing Grucci performances, including recent trips to Dubai, the Maldives and various locations around the North America.

Peter is completely self-taught as a writer, photographer and artist.

As an author, he has two photography books include “New York Cityscapes” (2018 Amherst Media) and his first book “New York City Nights – Book 1.” His third book: “Be Bigger Than You Think You Are! Overcoming Our Self-Imposed Limits to Have the Life We Want” is his first non-photography book and was released in Fall 2019.

Today Peter speaks, lectures and offers workshops and classes on topics from “Be Bigger Than You Think You Are!” In addition to local speaking engagements in the NY/NJ area, he has spoken at several universities in Colombia South America, as well as at Fordham University and to the Princeton Photography Club. Peter uses his talks to inspire others to overcome their own limiting thoughts and beliefs about themselves and pursue their passions in life.
