Emily M. DeArdo, Living Memento Mori: My Journey through the Stations of the Cross

“True, Jesus is there. But it may not be enough for us to know that Jesus is in the boat with us. We want him to do something. How many times in our lives does it seem as if Jesus is asleep—or dead—while we are perishing?”
Emily M. DeArdo, Living Memento Mori: My Journey through the Stations of the Cross

“All the privilege I claim for my own sex (it is not a very enviable one: you need not covet it), is that of loving longest, when existence or when hope is gone!”
Jane Austen, Persuasion

L.M. Montgomery

“I am simply a 'book drunkard.' Books have the same irresistible temptation for me that liquor has for its devotee. I cannot withstand them.”
L.M. Montgomery

“After all," Anne had said to Marilla once, "I believe the nicest and sweetest days are not those on which anything very splendid or wonderful or exciting happens but just those that bring simple little pleasures, following one another softly, like pearls slipping off a string.”

“It's not what the world holds for you. It's what you bring to it.”
Kevin Sullivan
