Blurb:
The genius and the sunshine girl. As children, we fought bitterly and often, bickering every chance we got.
But then we grew up.
Then we came back.
Delphine Dansey carries her heart on the outside of her body; she’s looking for love and chasing dreams. She’s spoiled and selfish, the kind of beautiful that’s made for money and fame. But somehow she’s ended up in my keeping: a pretty submissive I can’t seem to resist, a lover who obsesses and tempts me.
I thought I’d locked my heart away a long time ago, along with all my other weaknesses. But some doors won't stay closed, no matter how hard I fight to keep them shut. She unravels me, just like our friends are unraveling, just like Thornchapel itself is unraveling.
All year long, we’ve been sowing lust and jealousy and pain, heedless of the consequences. But a harvest is inevitable, and so now we must reap our sorrows.
And our sighs.
*Harvest of Sighs is Book Three in the Thornchapel series.*

Emma’s 5 Star Review of “Dreams of 18" by Saffron A. Kent
Holy freaking wow.
How Saffron manages to weave such raw, intricate, steamy, and emotional stories time and time again is the question of the year. This story absolutely blew me away.
Age gaps of this size tend to be a taboo subject for some, but not for me. I’m alllll about it and ate this story alive, like my life depended on it. I thought about it constantly. Talked about it constantly. Recommended it to everyone that would listen. This is quite possibly my favorite Saffron book followed by Medicine Man by a split hair.
Saffron integrates mental health into her stories in such a real and very important way. She doesn’t sugar coat, she doesn’t gloss over it. She shows the gritty, dirty, and scary parts of it, and that’s something that I really appreciate.
I don’t want to reveal too much because I think everyone should experience this book as blindly possible, so I’ll leave you with a few bullet points.
1) Violet and Graham are dysfunctional, out of the ordinary, and sometimes frustrating, but that makes them all the more special.
2) This book is so good that you will devour it in no time.
3) Go in with an open mind and enjoy the tale being laid out in front of you.
4) Have lots of batteries or a free hand. Just sayin’. Purchase Below! US: https://amzn.to/2omE3RQ

Game of Thrones 8x05 "The Bells" - Review
I'm going to take this moment by moment the best I can off of memory because I have a lot to say... and a lot of opinions. And just to get it out of the way now, I really thought this episode was one of the strongest in the season. (Hides from angry fans with their D&D aimed pitch forks). Just hear me out. First up, Varys. We open the episode with Varys writing many ravens to send out to the lords and ladies of Westeros, declaring Jon the most suitable heir to the Iron Throne. Enter, one of his Little Birds letting him know that Daenerys isn't eating the food she so kindly provided and that the Little Bird was scared the guards were "watching her". Y'all... Varys was trying to poison Daenerys. Why else would the Little Bird be afraid of guards watching if she was just bringing her FOOD??? Come on. He was trying to end it the easy way. Which leads me to his death. Tyrion betraying him, as much as Varys deserved it at the time, broke my heart. Tyrion really was just trying to stay loyal to his queen and Varys chose the wrong side in Tyrion's mind. OH! and that shot of Drogon in the darkness behind Dany and Jon before he executed him? STUNNING AND TERRIFYING. Speaking of Tyrion, I'm furious he involved Davos in his "free Jamie and Cersei" shenanigans. I don't understand why Davos would have done it because that's a one way trip to the wrong side of Dracarys. Tyrion's emotional goodbye to Jamie was the only scene in the episode to really pull actual tears from me. I knew, in that moment, that was going to be the last time they saw each other and it was a perfect, heartbreaking farewell. While we are on the topic of Jamie, let's address his fight with Euron and his death. Jamie didn't earn that Euron kill. Arya or Theon (pre dying) did. What? He earns that kill because he fucked Jamie's sister. Nah. Don't think so. BUT, if I take that small aspect away, I thought the fight scene was fun to watch and I'm damn happy that Euron is dead, though I wanted Jamie to beat him to death with his golden hand. Now..... the Lannister Twin death. Soooo many people are so upset because they wanted worse for Cersei and they expected better from Jamie, but I thought their death was poetic. They came into this world together and they left this world together... crushed by the castle they fought so desperately to keep. Jamie isn't a perfect character. He never was. You can't fault someone for loving someone and wanting to save her. She's awful .... but he loved her. That was NEVER a secret. He tried to be better and he succeeded but in the end.... you love who you love. Rolling backward to the beginning of the battle.... I applaud Dany destroying the Iron Fleet and taking out every single scorpion AND MASSACRING the Golden Company (too late for Cersei to ask for a refund? Lol).... that was SO EPIC. SO BADASS. IT WAS EVERYTHING. CLEGANEBOWL WAS EVERYTHING AND LIVED UP TO ALL OF THE 8 SEASONS OF BUILD UP!!!! Okay, now the elephant in the room..... Dany and her Mad Queen status. We all knew it was going to happen. The speed at which it happened was alarming but that's a side effect of 6 episodes. She has the crazy Targaryen gene and her rage just.... took over. And now she has to die. HAS TO. She's too unstable. Poor Jon on the ground when everything went crazy. He was in shock and doing the best he could. He loved and trusted her and he was proven wrong, heartbroken, angry and HORRIFIED all at once. I think he will be the one to kill her. And ending on that Arya and the pale horse imagery?????? Absolutely stunningly perfect. “And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on it was Death,” Has this season been season 1-4 quality? No. But it, in no way, deserves the insane hate that it's getting.

Game of Thrones 8x03 "The Long Night" REVIEW - Spoilers.
Well, that episode was boring as fuck… amarite? :P Obviously, I’m kidding because holy shit! I’ve never been so tense for 82 minutes in my entire life! Coupling that with Endgame happening the night before, this past weekend was like a Nerd Triathlon that I barely survived. There is so much to unpack and it’s all a blur in my head, so this review is likely to be jumbled, out of order and rambly, but it’s the best I can do. First and foremost – We didn’t lose as many people as we thought we would. I know it’s a joke on the internet right now that GoT fans are pissed that people didn’t die, but there’s still another battle to be had. Never fear, we have plenty of characters still to lose. We did say goodbye to Edd, Lyanna Mormont, Theon, Jorah, Beric and Melisandre. That was more than enough for me because Jorah and Beric gutted me completely to witness. Theon, my god, what a character arc this man had. From disliking, to loathing, to hating, to pitying, to rooting for, to sobbing hysterically over his death. He took us on an emotional journey for the past 8 seasons that is unparalleled. Thank you, Alfie Allen, for portraying him in a way no one else would have been able to. Jorah’s death was the most emotional for me. Dying protecting the woman he loved more than anything and Drogon coming down to mourn his death, wrapped around Dany. ALLLLL THE TEARS. Lyanna – What a badass. Here she stands, motherfucker. I loved it. Edd – Sam is a liability at this point. I know he wanted to be a man and fight, but… come on. Take a dragon glass dagger and go to the crypts. You would have served better there. RIP Edd. The next two deaths had a bit more meaning in the overall lore. Let’s start with Melisandre. From the beginning, she’s always preached about serving a bigger purpose. Stopping the Night King and ending the Long Night. She did that with this episode. She was nearly the MVP runner up. (And not just for providing great lighting when we needed it.) She gave the pep talk of the century to Arya in just one simple question. “And what do we say to the god of death?” ….. NOT TODAY. NOT FUCKING TODAY! I’ll cover Beric’s death in a moment because I want to talk about Arya Stark. Holy fucking shit balls. Did ANYONE expect that? If you say you expected that, you’re a damn liar. She is the last person I expected to land the killing blow to the Night King, but upon second viewing… the clues were all right there, under our noses, the entire time. Everyone served a purpose to bring Arya to that moment. Syrio Forel – Teaching Arya to sword fight and giving her the invaluable “Not Today” speech. Ned – Died, sending Arya off on a journey to train. A journey she’d NEVER HAVE unless Ned was beheaded. The Hound – Keeping her safe all the way until she left him for dead and left for Bravos. Jaqen H-ghar – For teaching her the ways of being a faceless man. Teaching her to be No One. Jon Snow – Brought back to life in order to unite the North and bring Dany along to ensure they stood a chance. Had Jon Snow not won the Battle of the Bastards, Arya would have never returned to Winterfell at all, thus she would have never been there to kill the Night King. Bran – Gave Arya the dagger she used. Hell, even in season 3 – Melisandre tells Arya there is a darkness in her and she’ll shut green eyes, brown eyes, and BLUE eyes forever. COME ONNNNN. Beric was brought back to life time and time again because HIS purpose was to stand in that doorway and keep Arya alive. It was ARYA’S journey all along. She showed in Episode 1 when she snuck up on Jon at the Godswood that she is ninja silent. She showed that again in the library early in episode 3. We were just looking the other way while Arya was being primed for this moment….. and it was absolutely AMAZING. And side note – Brienne and Jamie fight together… on the wall… using the two swords forged from Ned Stark’s Ice. Ice was protecting Winterfell again. Don’t even get me started on how beautiful that is. Onto the next!

Game of Thrones 8x01 “Winterfell” – REVIEW
*** SPOILER WARNING – IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW DETAILS ABOUT THIS EPISODE, CLICK AWAY NOW *** Wow! What a way to begin the final season! *insert crying face* We had scary moments, funny moments, heartbreaking moments, and holy shit moments galore! The episode started with the royal parade as Daenerys and Jon arrived at Winterfell with Dothraki, Unsullied, and two full grown dragons in tow as a little northern boy watched on. It was an obvious call back to the pilot episode with Bran climbing high onto a tower to watch as King Robert and his Calvary rode into Winterfell. They even played the exact same music which gave me all the nostalgic feelings. I was so thrilled to see the many reunions we were graced with this time around, from Jon and Bran, to Tyrion and Sansa, to The Hound and Arya, TO ARYA AND GENDRY (Does anyone else SHIP the FUCK out of them??), and of course… Arya and Jon. I’ll be honest, I cried like a baby when she ran into his arms. Actual tears. Don’t judge me. It’s been since season 1, episode 1 since these two have seen each other and I wanted to bask in it. Speaking of slaughter… Samwell Tarly. Poor, poor Sam. He doesn’t deserve any of this and watching his face when Daenerys told him she murdered his father and brother was a kick in the gut none of us needed. It was a deep reminder that this war, it’s real, and everyone is interconnected in ways they maybe shouldn’t be proud of. Lines are blurring and becoming more confusing, which is going to add to the emotion in episodes to come, for sure. Speaking of blurred lines, Jon and Daenerys, “A Whole New World” moment on the dragons. It was beautiful, and I adored every moment of it. We all knew Jon would ride Rhaegal one day and I’m glad they didn’t make us wait all season. I truly don’t think we’ll end this series with both Jon and Dany alive. One will have to die. I’m calling it now. Jon will sacrifice Daenerys (at her insistence). There’s been too many clue drops regarding her making a sacrifice to save her people. And that Jon and Sam scene in the crypts….. glorious. Bran "waiting for an old friend"...

REVIEW - Bad Boy Blues
Saffron A. Kent is so consistently giving us incredibly unique stories that it’s almost frightening. This was my first dive into a “bully romance”, and I must say, I couldn’t have picked a better author to guide me through it. Saffron has a way of storytelling that makes it intense, real, and visceral. She makes you smell the smells, see the colors, feel the emotion, and on top of that, her characters are relatable. Bad Boy Blues is an emotional journey that is so much deeper than it seems on the service. I hated Zach as much as I loved him. I connected with Cleo and rooted for her every step of the way. The steamy moments were HOT… HOT HOT HOT, making this a definite “one hand read”. I have one and only one complaint. I do feel that third act was pushed along a little too quickly for my liking. It felt a bit rushed, but other than that, this was another solid book from Saffron A. Kent.

"A Lesson in Thorns" by Sierra Simone - REVIEW
To whomever is ready this… take a seat, have an open mind and let’s have a little chat, shall we? I just finished “A Lesson in Thorns” about 45 minutes ago at the time I’m writing this, and I have too many emotions coursing through my body. I am hardly able to make sense of them, but I wanted to write this review with the story fresh in my mind. 6 friends, secrets, sex, mystery, legend, ancient ruins, and exploration of the mind, body, and soul are all woven into the words on these pages in a way that all writers aspire to accomplish. Too long has it been since we’ve had a stellar series in which the story follows the same characters rather than a series of interconnected standalones. Too long has it been since we’ve been able to have the EXCITEMENT of a cliffhanger and the rush of waiting for the next book so we can know what happens. I’ve missed that. The theorizing with your friends about what it all means. The countdowns. The rush. We have that in SPADES with this series and I couldn’t be more excited. “A Lesson in Thorns” (Thornchapel #1) by Sierra Simone is magical and otherworldly. It’s sexy and mysterious. It makes your think inwardly about your own desires and needs. It’s open, honest, expressive, smutty, delicious, heart wrenching, and so beautifully written it makes me think Sierra is a walking dictionary. I felt a deep, emotional, never to be beaten connection to her “New Camelot” series, but I have a feeling that “Thornchapel” is going to embed thorns deep into my heart that will stay there forever.
