Second Book Block
Greetings. I notice all the publishers and book marketing gurus recommend you get as many books written as possible. Don't stop with just one as it is very unlikely to be a big seller.
Easier said than done. I had a reason for my first book, the stories came easily. Not quite so easy on the second attempt.
Why?
Many readers have noted that I must have hundreds of stories to tell from a lifetime of travel and adventure. Why don't I just write another similar book with new adventures?
In Deckers, Punters & Dead Ants I purposely did not write with a timeline of events.
I had so many funny and bizarre events to call on but I just picked the best ones. That way they didn't repeat themselves even though they may have occurred in a different part of the world or in another time.
Which is why I now feel a second similar book would not be as refreshing and original a read.
The inspiration for a new topic has not yet filtered into my head....but it will.
Meanwhile, I continue writing articles and stories relating to my current travels and publish them in a newsletter for RV'ers http://www.AussieLifeOnWheels.com and Travel publications.
