Manuel Pociello (Madrid, 1979), de formación abogado, especialista en RR. HH. y gestor deportivo, pero que luce aquí su faceta de escritor. Quizás le conozcas de otras obras —quizás no—: Regreso al futuro de Edgar Allan Poe (Editorial Círculo Rojo, 2017); Zanahorio, el conejo influenzer (39 saltos en el charco, autopublicación, 2019); ¡Qué apropiado, tú peleas como una vaca! (Hecho de vuestras historias, Ediciones Labnar, 2020); The Cluba (Un mundo vuestro, Ediciones Labnar, 2022). También ha prologado varios trabajos, creado contenido literario para webs y medios digitales y parido forolibro.com. Por el camino ha ganado y ha sido finalista de varios concursos de relatos y microcuentos —sin tener amigos en el jurado, ¡toma ya!—.

Criado en la escuela de Los Cinco, Los Tres Investigadores, Los Jóvenes Castores, Elige tu propia aventura y los cómics de Superman y Astérix. Creció con Julio Verne, Daniel Defoe, Arthur Conan Doyle y Mark Twain. Licenciado en la adolescencia con El nombre de la rosa de Umberto Eco, Drácula de Bram Stoker, El camino de Miguel Delibes y El bosque animado de Wenceslao Fernández Flórez. A partir de ahí, la vida le ha sido mucho más fácil luchando en la trinchera de la ficción. Ahora son Poe, Lovecraft y Stephen King los que perturban sus sueños.

Teclea con una ventana a mano izquierda donde no faltan árboles con pájaros piando. A mano derecha destaca una librería repleta de libros bien ordenados y varias baldas con construcciones de Lego. Enfrente, otra librería con los libros de cine. A su espalda, una ventana con peores vistas que la primera. A sus pies, dos perros que duermen roncan e inspiran a partes iguales. En el techo, nada digno de mención.

¡Ah!… Y también salió andando desde la puerta de casa en un mes de diciembre y llegó a Santiago de Compostela. Experiencia que dice que pondrá por escrito, pero que, por lo que sea, siempre se le adelantan otros proyectos.
