Witch Book First?

So I started The Woman in The Mirror on 10/20/22 but life got in the way and I couldn't focus. On 01/01/23 I started working on Hands of Fire for Mom hoping to get back to The Mirror soon. It didn't happen. Started outlining Witch on June 6. Finished Hands of Fire on June 10, 2023. Completed Witch on 10/29/23 and started the outline for Witch II "Charlotte's Web" on 10/30/23. Where 2 Begin

On October 20, 2022 I began working on the outline for The Woman in The Mirror.

It took me over two weeks to complete the outline which is no biggie. I've had some outlines take me over two months. But what I found odd was how long it took me to come up with the first line of the book.

For a week I fiddled with the opening line. No matter how many times I looked at the damn outline I couldn't get the writing ✍️ engine to turn over. Then I figured out what the problem was. The problem was I hadn't decided at what point was I going to bring the main character into existence.

Did I want his entry to be during his prepubescent stage, during his college days, or at the critical point when this 40-year-old, plastic surgeon discovers there is a woman living inside him.

None of the above

I decided to start during his exiting the womb.

Once I got the scene working in the hospital the story began to flow.

There is one other minor little issue I've discovered just from the ten chapter outline I've done. And this has happened with other books, notably Frankenstina. That book was supposed to be 20 chapters. For some odd reason it grew 7 more. I have a feeling the same thing is going to happen here but we'll see.

It's the predictable uncertainty that I love about this art.

IT IS DONE!

Where It Came From:

I came up with this idea a few years ago after hearing about a drive by shooting between rival gangs on the news. I can't remember where or what state it occurred in, but the seed was planted. There were innocent victims caught in the middle of the insanity.

So I decided to write a book where the bad guys become the victims.

✍️ In the course of writing this book I wanted to insert some lessons to be learned along the way. I also wanted to introduce the reader to the power of faith and the folly of one's thinking that they can hurt people with impunity.

Patrick Politeri is a mystery man who appears out of nowhere on a stormy night. Almost immediately he gets on the wrong side of the Black Cobras gang. Within a couple of weeks he manages to end up on the wrong side of all three gangs and a crooked sheriff.

Then they make a fatal mistake. The three gangs with the blessing of the sheriff conspire to take Patrick out. That was their first and last mistake.

The New Look

It’s hard to believe that it’s been over five months since I’ve posted to my blog, but then I realized that I wrote and published two novels and one audiobook.

Seems like a lot? For some reason I feel like I should have accomplished more in that time. Does anyone else feel that way or is it just me?

I know part of the stuff I do that eats up some time is marketing and promoting on social media. I guess in the back of my mind I think I’ve done enough and forgot about my Blog and, now that I think about it, my YouTube Chanel as well.

And that brings me to today’s Blog post.

I recently contracted with a voiceover actor to perform my book Hershey The Dog from Hell

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09V26JZYN/ref=nodl_?dplnkId=aa0074de-d30b-4006-9604-dfdc729ebb49

when I checked out his website.

I loved the way it look and decided to update mine. When I clicked on my link I discovered two issues. 1. My landing page took me to page 3 of my book store and 2. My site looked dreary. It was then that I realized I had been here in a while.

In fact I didn’t realize that I had not updated my bookstore to include 5 missing novels and two audiobooks ‍♂️ .

So now I’ve fixed all of that and it should be easier on the eyes. But I still have more work to do on it so be patient with me. I’m on a writing ✍️ train and I need to work on my time management.

Until then, I’m Jerrimiah Stonecastle and we’re
