Now comes the tedious rearranging of words and the hunt for inconsistencies. *grrrrrrr* But the story has been a friggen blast to build and I'm actually looking forward to going back and reliving this drug-addled disaster I put my boys through. Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Corwyn Matthew I had just recently started collecting comics again -- the last time I'd opened one up I was maybe 12 or 13 -- and was thinking to myself, if I were t…moreI had just recently started collecting comics again -- the last time I'd opened one up I was maybe 12 or 13 -- and was thinking to myself, if I were to create my own superhero, who would it be? Honestly, the answer came to me in only a few seconds of sifting through my brain for relevant interests. I thought about what really entertained me in life and it immediately clicked: A zombie who plays hockey! =D It was a no-brrrrrainnnnsss-er. (Heh) Having a zombie (who plays hockey?) with supernatural powers as a hero just tickled me all-kinds-of-pink and everything just started to fall into place in my head. The teams would be based in LA (as are my Kings) and would have a rival team in Anaheim (another no-brainer) and somehow, at some point, in some ridiculous fashion, I HAD to have two full-blown teams of undead hockey players going at it, head-to-head. Now, rationally, pitting them up against each other on the ice was a little bit too goofy, even for me, so that didn't make the cut for the novel. But the idea still drove me to create a circumstance to have the zombie-hockey hoedown of my geekiest dreams come true. I was even originally gonna call the book Zombie Hockey, but, as goes the process, while building this world where such a thing was rationally conceivable, I slowly had to come to terms with the realization that the whole damn novel (turned saga) couldn't revolve around hockey, so it needed a title that more appropriately encapsulated the bulk of the story, hence... Blood Magik: A Cold Day In Hell (Book One of what will likely be six). = ](less)
