I find people often say to me they have an idea but don’t know how to piece it altogether. If you just start writing the first ‘scenario’ that comes to mind, you can work out where it belongs later. Often once you have done that, it is easy to keep following on from there. Just force yourself to actually make the time to sit and write, it doesn’t matter if you get 200 words done or 6000 - it’s a start! Then you will be excited and anxious to keep going. (less)

I liked the idea of my first novel being a romance and…moreI’ve always loved TV shows like 24 and anything related to police work, FBI and secret service. I liked the idea of my first novel being a romance and so it felt natural to connect the two together. I had a very clear vision of who my two main characters were and what their personalities are like and so I found it exciting putting them into different situations to see how they would react and work together.
