The Rebrand I Didn’t Know I Needed

In 2017, I launched my first self-hosted website. I was so proud of myself. It was a labor of love, a result of tutorials and templates, a project that involved many days and nights of planning, preparing, and positioning my way onto the internet. I did it because I wanted to write, and what better […]

“Some days
you'll hold the sorrow between your teeth
and smile tightly
to keep it from escaping.”

“Do not sit still when you are burning inside.”
Minerve Jean, For The Secrets That Gave Themselves Away

“Pour into a cup all that they told you that you could not be
drink it
quench your thirst into growing
into all that you can”

“Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.”
Oscar Wilde

“Sometimes since I've been in the garden I've looked up through the trees at the sky and I have had a strange feeling of being happy as if something was pushing and drawing in my chest and making me breathe fast. Magic is always pushing and drawing and making things out of nothing. Everything is made out of magic, leaves and trees, flowers and birds, badgers and foxes and squirrels and people. So it must be all around us. In this garden - in all the places.”
Frances Hodgson Burnett, The Secret Garden

“All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.”
J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring
