Susan M Soesbe grew up all over the US, as her father's military career took the family from North Carolina to California, to Missouri and back to California again. G. Salter answered Susan Soesbe's question: G. Connor Salter
Interesting question. I like The Lady from Shanghai, an Orson Welles noir movie from the 1940s. Different from the book, but in interesting ways that make it a very engaging story that stands on its own.
