Wild Worlds Inspiration
One of the questions I often hear is "who writes this garbage?! It's awful!" I usually try to avoid answering it to slink back into the shadows and cry.
BUT, sometimes, I get asked things like, "What was the inspiration for this garbage?" And that question, I am more eager to answer:
Aside from my general love of gaming, I have been utterly entranced by Kugane Maruyama's 'Overlord' series, Natsume Akatsuki's 'KonoSuba: God's Blessing on this Wonderful World! (SEASON 3 WHEN???)'. Both of these different versions of the "trapped in another world" trope, and based on MMORPG/D&D games.
What I love about them as opposed to stories like Sword Art Online and Log Horizon is the fact they were set in "real" worlds as opposed to a video game realm, while at the same time, keeping the aspects like leveling and gear bonuses, etc.
The setting of Wild Worlds is like that, but one of the major problems I was concerned with was a ton of expospeak/info dumps dragging down the storyline. I wanted to reveal more and more over a series of books, each one building on each other. Kind of like how in gaming, you only learn the basics to begin with and more technical aspects are elaborated on later. Especially when you have aain character mentor begrudgingly giving the advice about surviving.
In hindsight, I probably could have risked having more exospeak discussing leveling up and stats, but I honestly didn't realize how popular the LitRPG was in the West. Sooo, that's my bad. Trust me, there are answers for almost everything that was and wasn't mentioned in the first book, but what's the point of reading more of the series if you have all the answers right at the beginning? ...Right? Or is that just me?
One of the other major aspects is that the life as an adventurer in the Wild Worlds is DANGEROUS and quite a level grind (again, like most MMORPGs). Sure, you get a lot of amazing abilities when you accept a class, but your life can be brutal and short if you're not careful.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this little trip through some of my thought process. Check out the link below to purchase the paper back! Or not! I'm not your boss!
Have a great day!

Wild Worlds: Audiobook
Good morning! Have you ever wanted to read a book, but all of those dastardly words get in the way? Well, I have discovered a work-around! A book that you LISTEN to!
I know, right? This is a completely original concept by me. Why didn't anyone think of narrating a book before? Per genius!
...Oh, wait...I am now being told that...audiobooks have been around forever. Well...Hm. Okay, well, you know what HASN'T been around forever and is totally original? Wild Worlds: Crash Course will be available as an audiobook soon...ish! Hopefully, this month (August)!
What's that? You don't know of the Wild Worlds? Check the description below!
Uriel is having a bad day. Ambushed by pirates, the legendary Valiant finds herself wrecked and alone on a hostile planet. Bairn is having a bad day. Lost on some strange, backwater planet, this inexperienced adventurer finds himself at death's door, surrounded by strange beasts and monsters. Together, these two must join forces to survive on this unforgiving planet. Which means Uriel must take the inexperienced Bairn under her wing and try to level the fool up before he gets the two of them killed. Can the two set aside their differences to overcome secrets of their pasts and new, overwhelming enemies to conquer the Wild Worlds?
