New Book

As this week passes and I’m getting nervous about my very first published book, I am keen to engage with Goodreads readers to discuss the book’s main themes.

It covers mental health and, in particular, depression and the characters surrounding a woman who was deeply affected by depressive episodes, are massively influenced by it. It also talks about many modern elements of life, such as social media. growing up and friendship.

If you do consider adding ‘The Fathers, the Sons and the Anxious Ghost’ to your reading list, then I hope the storyline really is believable and gets you thinking.

I look forward to talking about it.

Weekend writing

I had a busy weekend but managed to find time on Saturday to write 3000 words of one of my short stories. I also got to see the Academy Award Best Picture winning movie, ‘The Shape of Water’, which was brilliant and very inventive.

I am also looking forward to going to a talk by my favourite author, Joanne Harris, next month, as I picked up some tickets today.
