Payback Jack

It releases on Jan. 2, 2023. I'm looking forward to this book since it's been a long time coming. Jack Murphy is the hero, and I had the idea of his book at least five years ago.

Jack is an anti-hero. After a career in law enforcement, he just wants to sit on his boat and drink beer. Not get involved is his new mantra.

But when Jack's friends become victims, Jack has no choice but to get involved.

The story takes place in Hawaii and Las Vegas. Jack is an anti-hero you want to root for. He's a good guy, but he's no saint.

Cowboy Christmas in Hawaii

A Christmas Novella

A Hawaiian cowboy returns to his hometown for Christmas and sees an old flame and wonders if they can re-kindle the love they once had and get a second chance at a happily-ever-after.

Dr. Jasmine Murphy DVM is building her practice in the small town of Waimea, on the Big Island of Hawaii, after graduating from a prestigious Texas veterinary college. She doesn’t have time for anything but work and especially not for Keith Shaw who a decade earlier left her for the rodeo.

When Keith and Jasmine cross paths, she finds out he’s been temporarily hired onto the ranch where her animal clinic is, and they have to work together with a pregnant mare. She can’t wait for him to leave and go back on the mainland rodeo circuit after the holidays.

Keith abandons any thoughts of getting back together; chalks it up to euphoric recall and looks forward to leaving the island shortly after the start of the new year.

But when he’s severely injured in an auto accident and his recovery is going to take at least a year before he can go back on the bull riding circuit, he has to decide whether he wants to stay on the island with a woman that truly doesn’t seem to like him being within a hundred miles of her.

Will Keith and Jasmine find a way to reconcile their differences, Cowboy Christmas in Hawaii by J.E. Trent or will they spend Christmas together in a way that neither of them ever expected?

• There is no profanity, sex, or violence in this story. •

Death in Hawaii

This book recently popped up on my dashboard. The funny thing is, it's not for sale. It's a free book I give away to folks who join my email list. Someone reviewed it and somehow got it listed here. It's a mystery to me.

Real Locations in Death Tide

description

Beach wedding location is at the end of the runway of the Old Kona Airport.

description

Lava Java is a meeting place mentioned in the book multiple times when Pua and Charles meet there once. Jessica and Gabbie had multiple rendezvous there in the story. The beach is where a wedding took place in the story. It used to be you just showed up and did the deed. Now I hear you need a permit.

Below is Keauhou Bay, it’s where Sam and Jessica live. Their Cabo fishing yacht is moored just to the right out of the photo. 😉

Cut From Death Tide

Larry and Erica had a marriage more out of convenience than love. When he met her, she was working the pole in a Honolulu strip club. Her previous rich boyfriend hadn’t worked out, and Erica was on the prowl for a new sugar daddy at the time. As soon as she spotted the Rolex watch on Larry’s wrist, she had a new target to zero in on.

She did what many strippers did when they got too old to work the pole; she transitioned to real estate, and Larry was the perfect man to help her make the leap when he offered her a job in Kona.
Six months later they got married at the Elvis wedding chapel in Las Vegas after one too many drinks.

Erica was right where she wanted to be. But the one thing Larry insisted on before they tied the knot was a prenup. She was just drunk enough to agree to it when he wrote it on the back of a napkin at the bar inside Circus Circus where they were drinking at the time he proposed.

Read My Books for Free!

What’s the ketch? You have to be a Kindle Unlimited Subscriber. But, the un-ketch part is you can try it out for free. I’ve been a subscriber myself for the past couple of years, and I can testify it’s a lot cheaper than buying all the books.

Rewrite of Death in Paradise

After I published the Kona Strangler, I took a month and rewrote parts of Death in Paradise. I tried to address a couple of things mentioned in multiple reviews and hopefully readers will like the updated version. One change was I removed the sex scene from the book. A couple reviewers said it added nothing […]
