GL Williams is a military brat born in Indiana and raised all around the world. He has five other extraordinarily talented siblings who share his passion and gift in the arts. While he was growing up, in his travels he acquired a love for culture, arts, music and diversity. GL Williams developed a passion for music, arts and writing in elementary school, writing plays that his teacher would allow him to perform with other students in front of the class and assembling small handwritten, illustrated books featuring his favorite animated characters that would be passed out and read by his peers and his teacher. In middle school, his writing and music would continue. He wrote books about his exploits and passed them around to his classmates to GL Williams is a military brat born in Indiana and raised all around the world. In middle school, his writing and music would continue. He wrote books about his exploits and passed them around to his classmates to enjoy, and he performed in Symphony Orchestra. In high school, he continued performing in various music ensembles, participated in athletics and made headlines when he won a national writing award that landed him the opportunity to write, direct and produce a short film in cooperation with Media Options, based in Chicago. The short film was for McDonald's, focusing on the benefits of working part time as a high school student.
After high school, he became a single parent, raising his two children until they graduated high school. While the kids were in elementary and middle school, he pursued his Associates Degree and most of his Bachelors Degree, before relocating to the southeast.
In his lifetime, he has worked for a number of leading fashion organizations in a business management capacity, he has worked in the fashion modeling industry as a photographer and creative professional, and he has managed top retail organizations. He also dedicates his time to causes for women, including domestic violence advocacy non-profits and most recently, Women Embracing Abilities Now (WEAN), where he joined the Board of Directors.
He enjoys writing fictional stories that are meaningful, full of realistic dialogue, humor, and powerful human expression. He enjoys telling real life, however, as a fan of Marvel and DC Comics, he enjoys writing fantasy as well. In his writing, he tries to include important life lessons and most importantly, inspirational themes about faith and overcoming challenges, using Biblical wisdom as a main resource. He enjoys music ministry work, as well as doing things for others when he isn't writing, doing something creative or spending time with his newly acquired extended family. GL Williams loves to travel and spends as much time as he can at the ocean.
