Excerpt from Dear Jack
Kate looked around the room, couples were dancing in the centre. A band stood on a stage playing live. Kate stood in awe as she listened to the woman play the violin. The mixture of string instruments brought such pleasure to her ears, she couldn’t help but sway to the music.
Jack smiled as he watched his wife. “Do you want to dance?”
Kate peeked over at her husband. “Is it that obvious?”
Jack laid down his glass and took her hand. Pulling her out to the dance floor, then into his arms. “You are the most beautiful woman in the room, but I’m sure you know that,” he grinned. Kate smiled as she remembered him saying those exact words to her the day they met, that was almost three years ago. Jack continued to move her elegantly across the dance floor.
“What are you thinking about darling?” Kate smiled softly.
“Just about how lucky I am.”
