Traveling via Rail

Morning everyone, I wanna thank those who take the time out to read this and leave a comment. I have a lot to share with you , so let me start at the beginning. It all started at 3;30 am hahaha,  yes I know way too early for me too. I asked for a wake up call so I could finish the rest of my packing but nothing can be that simple, right!? I wake up the moon shining brightly in the sky, I look at the clock and it states it is 5: 15 am. I swear I looked at that clock a dozen times before screaming get up to everyone and rushing to get everything packed. The pets were scurried into their travel bags and my family had their shoes on, then suddenly the phone rings with our friendly neighborhood wake up call. I sink into the bed as I take another look at the clock ( which now says 3:30 am. Slightly grinning at my half asleep family I motion for them to sit down and relax.

5:30 am comes and it's time to head to the train station, you would think everything would go smoothly but nope I wouldn't be that lucky. I pre ordered the tickets, booked the pets I even packed snacks but no not enough! The suitcases were overweight, not one but all 3 of them, and after my mom swearing they had to be 50 pounds considering she couldn't lift more than that; right mom have you been lifting weights? The question is where to you put it all when you take it out, it's not like you carry an extra suitcase to throw this stuff into right? Luckily the woman behind the counter had a spare box, yes I ended up taking an extra boxful which I didn't mind but packing in the middle of the train station was the highlight of my morning.

7 am comes and we're barely finished, we are zipping up the bags and running for the train, thankfully they felt sorry for us and held the train. We loaded the baggage racks with our faces pink from running with four 50 pound bags, 3 carry ons, 2 cats and a puppy. Oh and not to mention via Rail made us take separate trains because of the pets and here's my mom is running behind me telling me she lost her ticket 5 minutes after I handed it to her. * SIGH* No we don't travel light but what do you choose to leave behind? Thankful we get a seat with a window and a table, not that any of us used it but it gave us more leg room. The ride was around 3 and a half hours, and none of us could wait till we got to do it all over again at the airport. (turns out mom was alone with the cat in the box car, no room for us I guess)
