I grabbed this audio book for a long drive. When I started it, I was a sort of fan of Amy Poehler’s work. When I finished it, I was a big fan of Amy Poehler herself. Honest, forthright, and wise in unexpected ways.

I enjoyed the first volume of the Jack Sullivan case files plenty, but this is a clear step up from the first one. Neo-noir delivered with grit and just enough of a wink and nod to the genre.

I listened to this while driving over several days. General not a fan of full cast audiobooks but this one seemed custom made for it. The story was intense and plausible. It was good enough thatI may go back and read the paperback.

3.5 stars... I listened to this while traveling. I had spotted the ending well before the end, but it was still entertaining and felt like a classic Robert Langdon adventure. The dénouement felt like a bit much, but that is just personal preference.
