Al…moreI have always had a vivid imagination, even as a young child. My writing inspiration stems from a love of stories unfolding in my head like movies. Although a very reluctant reader, I always knew in my bones that I loved writing. It wasn't until I fell in love with reading (well into my adult years), that I realized the value of being an avid reader in connection with being a writer. This would create my love of writing into something more than poetry (still one of my favourite genres to write) and random scraps of story ideas on paper lying around the house. (less)

I had a flash of panic, wo…moreIt was in 2013 that I had completed some paperwork that needed to be sent by post because it could not be submitted online. I had a flash of panic, wondering what would happen if all the paperwork I had completed was lost in the cargo hold of a mail truck, at the bottom of a ravine. Then I wondered how lives would be affected if such a thing happened and no one could locate the cargo. Presto, change-o, the origin of my story began.(less)
