I grew up in a family in love with the outdoors. From hunting to gardening, we each had something we were passionate about. Here along the Ga coast, the saltwater is teaming with the activities of new life. Fish are 'on the beds', meaning eggs are being laid and fertilized in the marshes. Shrimpers are preparing for the season closer to shore. Thanks to my husband, Gerald, I also have a love of fishing. He is a talented fly fisherman and has taught me his craft. Though, of course, his fish are always bigger!

It is the glory of the outdoors that inspires a lot of my writing. Thanks, Mother Nature!
