And now, let me take you behind the scenes for a minute… One of the first online radio networks to go live in 1999, DI.FM has grown into a destination and lifestyle for over 3 million unique listeners who tune in every month. DI.FM offers something unique for every electronic music fan, no matter what style of music you love.

The Midnight Project started on my laptop, with big ideas. Over time, it grew, not just in reach, but in community. Now, it’s airing weekly on DI.FM to over 60,000 global listeners, and is being broadcast on FM stations from Turkey to Holland. That means this sound, our sound, is riding the real airwaves, from car radios in Istanbul to backrooms in Rotterdam.

But the digital side is just as strong. The show lives online with full support from the 1001Tracklists community, where IAMSVRP consistently uploads each episode so Midnighters worldwide can follow every moment. And once a year, during ADE in Amsterdam, the 1001 founders invite me out for a caipirinha at their award show, to celebrate the project and this community we’ve built together.

On stormy mornings in Ibiza, I make a coffee, step outside with Bo, and listen.

Waves, wind, distant traffic, planes lifting off, the low hum of the island waking up. Before I open the studio door, I’m already composing: rhythm, tension, release.

This is my life as an Ibiza techno DJ and producer.

My name is Sebastiaan Hooft, a Dutch-born, Ibiza-based, dedicated to techno, health, and consistent creativity.

Who I Am

Before relocating to Ibiza, I founded companies that grew into the Deloitte Fast 500 Europe Top 10.
I wrote the bestselling book "Redesign" and coached entrepreneurs on achieving sustainable performance.

Today, my world is structured around three elements:

Celebrating Ibiza

This week, we’re also celebrating something personal: one year since moving to our new home in the south of Ibiza.

There was a cake box on the counter, the sun rising over the hills, and a deep feeling that this was the right place to grow. One year in our new home on Ibiza.

Ibiza gives me space. Space to create, reset, and listen.

Stories were shared about the uphill battle women still face in electronic music, not being taken seriously, being booked for the wrong reasons, or being pushed out.

It made me reflect on my own role. The truth is, most shows feature male artists. On my label, 90% of the producers are male. That’s something I take seriously. I want every voice to be heard and every talent to have a platform to share their music.

So here’s my ask:

I listen to everything. I’m looking for tracks that convey power, clarity, and purpose. Music that reflects the same energy you bring to your craft. Let’s open more doors, together.
