My life has always been a bit of a comedy/drama/romance, so I'm afraid there are no big mysteries, or big unknowns.

But I have often wondered about how my life would be affected if I had done certain things differently, in a Sliding Doors type of way.

Sliding Doors is an interesting movie starring Gwyneth Paltrow from 1998. In the film, we see the two very different ways her life would have taken, depending on one single act: her catching or missing a train.

I guess I often wonder what would happen if I had gone to a different university, or if I had gone to college in a different country. What if I knew about freelancing when I was a teenager? What if I wrote my novel sooner or made certain publishing decisions differently?

But all in all, I'm certain all paths would lead me to write for a living, one way or the other. (less)

Writing Update

Forgive me, reader, for I have sinned.

I’ve been very slow to post or write anything because life got in the way: Stomach problems and extreme heat - and unfortunately not a whirlwind romance. (Wouldn't that be delicious?)

But I’m back at my desk and working on the third book in my A Change Would Do You Good romcom trilogy!

This one’s full of messy choices, big reveals, and a few characters you migh Read more of this blog post »

“Janie sped away in her convertible. Her car’s speakers blasted AC/DC’s Highway to Hell for good measure. She smiled as she mouthed the lyrics, ironically feeling like she was escaping hell.”
