Alert! Alert! ALERT!
Hey friends!
I just wanted to take a moment to let you all know that A Haunted Past is going to be free on Amazon.com for a full week, starting tomorrow, July 17th! Get your copy at midnight tonight!
https://www.amazon.com/Haunted-Past-A...
Please don't forget to review on both Goodreads and Amazon! (Reviews are like gold to broke indi authors like myself, so please keep 'em coming! )
As for my new project, well, I have suffered some trauma over this past year, my estranged father was murdered, and I fear it's had some negative blow back on my writing, and my life. I am working hard to get back on track, personally and professionally.
Speaking of professionally, I am looking for a beta reader to go over what I have thus far in my currently incomplete manuscript. Any takers? Message me in the comments, or inbox me!
I hope you all are having a beautiful summer day, and have your noses stuck in a book!
Lots of love,
April

My New Project
Oh boy guys! Do I ever have a whopper of an idea! I wanna take a moment and tell ya just a bit about it. First of all, my new project is not related to A Haunted Past, however as a theme through almost ever single book I have planned there will be little easter eggs webbed in, a mention of Gottchaon TV here, or a sighting of Yin and Larry there, so prepare yourselves for that! But for now, let me tell you about my new project. It is going to based in Toronto Ontario, and we will be following the life of my leading lady-no name drop yet hold on, I getting to it- as she works as a private school art teacher in the city, lives in her own Kensington Market townhouse and cares for her cat, Gilbert. What's interesting about that? She's being STALKED!
Will Bree McAllister (name drop) be able to discover which novel the stalker is recreating in order to stop his creepy advances?
Stay tuned for a title reveal.
Follow me for more information, and chitchats.

New to the game
Hi, I am April Kennedy. This is my first ever blog!
(I don't really no what to say, so I'll just start, and we'll see)
The love of books and the pull of blank paper has followed me from a young age. I had a ritual, that I still continue to this day. I lift my new book, and fan the pages taking in the sweet sent of it's ink and paper. I'd admire the author's name on the top pages and discover how many pages the story lasted from prologue to the end. The more pages the better.
I wrote my first story when I was seven years old. Grade two. Our class was making gifts for mother's day, and while my young peers glude things together and finger painted, I wrote. The story was called The Well and was about how my mother met my stepfather. When I was finished I bound my work into a read duotang and cover the front in multi colored heart stickers. Later that night I presented my mother with my first work. She immidiatly read, then placed my work on her bookshelf, where it remains today.
Coming from a low income family had it's struggles and hardships. Not only was I left out from the brand name trends of the 90s that my fellow classmates came to school deck out in, but my family was also often unable to make enough to keep the cable bill paid, amongst other things. This left me on the outside, never able to really connect and build friendships in school. Thus I dove futher into the world of fiction. This is where I must give thanks to some of the many authors that helped me through the rough times, Eric Walters, Judy Bloom and J.K Rowling, thank you for every word you ever wrote. They have ment more to me than I would ever be able to express.
Those three and many more gave me the courage and will to presue my love of the written word. Just as the did for me, I hope to be able to reach just one person who is having a difficult time, and make them smile. Give them something to take their mind off reality for just a little while.
A Haunted Past is my first novel. I hope you all will enjoy it. Thank you.
