99 cent Amazon Books had a chance to catch up with writer Chaz Gower about his new book The Summer I Said Yes to have a little conversation about it!
99 cent: You’re new book, The Summer I Said Yes is getting some attention right now. Are you surprised to see the reaction to it?
Chaz Gower: Sure! I mean, I thought it was funny and sexy, and a great read, but, it always comes down to how everyone else views it.
99 cent: Have you had any resistance, being a male writer using a female voice to tell your story.
Chaz Gower: Aw, it’s not that big of a deal. In fact, Sixteen Candles was a great movie, told from the perspective of a 16-year-old girl, yet written by an older white male.
99 cent: Yeah, in reading this the vibe I got was Sixteen Candles written like a Seth Rogan movie.
Chaz Gower: Wow, that’s perfect! Thanks, I may have to use that as a tagline!
99 cent: Hailey is a classic protagonist, in that she wants to do the right thing, despite having life’s obstacles in her way. Her best friend Violet helps out, but I’m really curious to read more about what Olivia is up to.
Chaz Gower: Yeah, I like the characters a lot, and the follow up will introduce even more characters. Right now you can get the first book on Amazon for only 99 cents!

The Summer I Said Yes (The Summer Love Series Book 1)
I'm really excited that my first novel is up and available online! (And digitally free for a few more days through Amazon Kindle Unlimited).
I've even got my first review (thank you! and it's a positive one!), and now I look forward to the grueling promotion of it as I work on the follow-up.
For those reading this who haven't taken the leap of faith on a new book yet, let me help you out.
First and foremost, this IS a book of New Adult EROTIC fiction. There's not a whole LOT of sex in it, but, there is plenty of graphic discussions, and alluded to behavior, that you'll know fairly quickly, you're not reading Jane Austin.
But even though I say that, the characters of 18-year-old Hailey (our main protagonist) and her best friend Violet, is one that is sweet, funny, and rings true in a way that I think you'll really enjoy.
High School is a time when peer pressure and psychological forces can make us say, do, and think about things that as adults we would think better of.
Oh, and it's really funny too!
Give it a chance, I think you'll really like it. It's still free for a few more days!
