Chandrama Deshmukh is a writer by profession and a poet by passion. A Teaspoon Of Stars is her second collection of English poems. She has authored three books of poems before this. Moonlit Monochrome, in English and the other two in Marathi. A storyteller of sorts, the moon is her muse. Poetry for Chandrama is that one streak of silver lining amidst the chaos of life. Being an avid reader, performer and a part-time playwright, she believes nothing touches her soul the way poetry does. Chandrama lives in Bangalore.

“I once told a little girl,
that you can be what you wish.
She looked at me with an atheist’s apprehension

‘Why didn’t you become what you wished then?’
That question, till date, is growing like weed in my being.”
