I was born in Tennessee. After two years at Louisiana State University, I transferred to school in Boston and majored in Marketing. Before getting a “grown-up job” I spent the summer in small town Texas where I wrote her first novel. "I always said I wanted to write, but I thought it was another one of my random ideas like acting classes or marathon training. My best friend once said to me, 'Kim, I'm a romantic, but you’re a hopeless romantic.' It's extremities like these that inspired me to write the crazy thoughts in my head.
