Hutch
Hi readers
My second novel 'Hutch' is now available to purchase from Amazon Kindle.
It's a very different theme from my first novel - 'Four is an Odd Number'. The idea for the story originated from my childhood curiosity about some of the kids in my school who were 'different'. I can still recall, with a good deal of discomfort, how those kids were treated by some of their fellow pupils.
My life moved on. I became a teacher and, during my career, I became involved with many children who, for various reasons, didn't fit in. I began to write 'Hutch' many years ago. It gathered dust on the shelf, got revisited many times and then put away again - until the moment of clarity arrived. I had to write the story from Hutch's perspective (previously it was written in the third person) because I knew what he was going through and, more importantly, I knew the reasons why.
I really enjoyed the process of working on this book but, at the same time, I found aspects of it difficult and painful to write .
If you enjoyed 'Four is an Odd Number' and you want an equally page turning read, then do give 'Hutch' a go. I would so appreciate some feedback.
Many thanks
Sandy

Sandy Griffiths writer
Hi
I wrote this book when I lived in Italy. What better than to create characters and stories in an air-conditioned room when the outside temperature hovers around forty degrees? Or what better than to be warm and snug in front of a log fire and write a book when winter temperatures plummet?
All I ever wanted was to write stories that readers could engage with and give up a few hours of their lives to escape into and enjoy.
I hope this book lives up to that. I'd love you to give it a try and let me know.
