Cold COURAGE: A Journey of Resilience

MEN WANTED: for hazardous journey. Low wages, bitter cold, long hours of complete darkness. Safe return doubtful. Honor and recognition in event of success.

Would you answer the call?

Writing has always been my compass - a way to navigate life’s complexities and find meaning in the chaos. It amazes me that I’ve had the privilege to pen six books, each one a deeply personal reflection of my journey. These stories, rooted in historical truth and blended with fiction, are intricately woven with...

Unlock the Power of Resilience and Leadership with Cold COURAGE by Willy Mitchell

Cold COURAGE by indie author Willy Mitchell is more than just a historical tale—it’s a blueprint for self-development and team inspiration. This compelling book recounts the legendary expedition of Sir Ernest Shackleton, the polar explorer who, against all odds, kept his crew of 27 men alive for over a year after losing their ship to relentless pack ice.

Now, alongside the National Geographic documentary film #ENDURANCE (released on 11/1/2024) directed by Chai Vasarhelyi, @JimmyChin, and Natal...

A Collection of Willy Mitchells and a Video Too!

Writing is a journey, not a one-off event. It is an investment of time, commitment, of emotion, but when the readers react, respond, and enjoy, it seems all worthwhile. Here is a video of one of those reader's libraries, in their saloon!https://video.wixstatic.com/video/a534fa_cdee56802d144a4b883ee80606949909/480p/mp4/file.mp4

Thanks to JR and this rather creative little vignette! Thanks to all the readers out there who have read, and enjoyed one or more of my books so far:

SS Indigo, Twelve's Company: OUT NOW

SS Indigo is a tale of a group of strangers invited on a mystery Caribbean cruise by secretive billionaire Emol Litions, and after nearly 2 years in the making is OUT NOW!

Around 13 years ago, I first thought about writing a novel - I wanted to tell stories that I had heard on my various travels. I had always been intrigued by the less so obvious stories of legends, experiences, of hardships, and of often unsung heroes.

All this time, and six novels later, SS Indigo was released on 24th November...

Handbags & Gladrags: The Shock of Materialism

Saturday afternoon, California, the world is in turmoil, with political soap operas on both sides of the Atlantic, war, the threat of nuclear holocaust, and illegal invasions, starving children, people trying to make ends meet, and yet as I witnessed yesterday, the downright and shocking materialism is brazen, unapologetic, and going strong.

I have always been wary of going into shops where prices aren't readily visible. I remember visiting Paris and the Place Vendôme with its cobbled square, th...

Prolog: SS Indigo, Twelve's Company: COMING SOON

SS Indigo is a tale of a group of strangers invited on a mystery Caribbean cruise by secretive billionaire Emol Litions - here is the pre-release Prolog: COMING SOON.

I’d been anticipating this trip for a long time. I had the sense it was going to be important. We’d been in business for a couple of years now, and I figured this could possibly be the big break we’d been looking for. Lithuania joining the European Union meant an influx of qualified and soon-to-be-legal workers for a much-needed gap...

How Punk Rock Fueled a Generation of Entrepreneurs

Punk Rock ‘happened’ because of several things colliding at the same time. The youth of the day were creative and challenging the status quo, asking questions that previous politer generations hadn’t asked. We were curious, not accepting the ‘blah blah’ answers of the grey-suited politicians as they led the world into a dark and dismal decline.

Back then, the UK was described as the ‘sick man of Europe’ which was especially difficult to comprehend when our parents and grandparents had fought so...

Writers Life: No one ever said it was going to be easy!

10 years or so ago, I thought it would be a good idea to write a book. I felt I had at least one story in me, as the saying goes. Operation ARGUS was my first, five books later, my biggest challenge so far has been writing and completing SS Indigo.

I finished the first manuscript 5 months ago and sent it off to my editor. He quickly came back to me and sent me back to the drawing board and that's where I have been since.

"You see, I've never proclaimed to be a writer, an author, I guess so after ...
