Khaya Ronkainen is a South African-Finnish writer, independent author, creative professional and an entrepreneur. Nature largely influences her work, so as the duality of an immigrant's life. Lately, she also explores themes of ageing and women's health.

She is the author of two poetry chapbooks, Seasons Defined (2018) and From the Depth of Darkness (2019), as well as full-length collection The Sheltering (2022). Some of her work has been anthologised and published in various international literary journals.

In her spare time, she can be found wandering with a notebook, pen and camera. She is an avid hiker, reader, traveller and hobbyist photographer. Khaya also enjoys hanging out with her family and friends. She lives in Finland with her hus
