To know PAMELA CRANE, you first need to know her husband. He sleeps with one eye open. He checks the knife block to make sure none are missing. Why? It could be because they have four kids and a farm full of mischievous animals. Or it could be because she writes murder mysteries, and about the occasional woman who has lost her marbles (not based on her real-life psyche, she swears!) Don't worry—her husband is safe...for now. Her books range from witty whodunnits to psychological suspense and even humorous women’s fiction thrown in for good measure. She’s a USA TODAY bestselling author of over a dozen novels (who’s counting?), but her biggest accomplishment is keeping her zoo of animals alive…and her husband in check. Personally, getting a copy of my book in front of even just one reader who enjoys it makes it worth it! :)(less)

Authors supporting authors is an effective way to promote each other and thus expand word-of-mouth about each others' books. I've cross-promoted with fellow authors on Goodreads and we both saw excellent sales increases.

As a reader, I love that I can find new "undiscovered" books to enjoy. Goodreads offers the best of both worlds--fresh talent to discover for readers, and plenty of networking for writers.(less)

“I had battled my own demons that day, facing down the thing that imprisoned me since the accident-a scar and the diffidence it created inside of me. But it was just a physical blemish, not something that made me who I am. It took a mentally disturbed murderer who gave me a sneak peak at death to show me that.”
Pamela Crane, A Secondhand Life

“lips wide with the smile that only fatherhood can bring. I was meant for this. I allowed a vision to permeate my mind’s eye… a picture of me nestling my namesake to my chest, my firstborn son, my legacy. I had always considered my film projects to be my fame, my future. Forever my name etched”
Pamela Crane, A Fatal Affair

“People go crazy, not because they are crazy, but because it’s the best available option at the time.”
Pamela Crane, Pretty Ugly Lies

“A row of daffodils and red tulips nestled against the walkway beneath my feet. Stray weeds peeked up through the cracks in the concrete, a reminder that that nature had the final say. No matter how much mankind bulldozed or built, all was vulnerable to Mother Nature's whims.”
