The Green Comet.
No matter what sort of story you write, nature will always go one better. Years ago, I was authoring a story about a comet that affected the Earth to a devastating degree, I just allowed my imagination free reign…
The current news, to those people who are still interested in current events and not just the latest colour of lipstick, will be aware of events which are happening at this very moment. Events which may shape our world. Such a story is currently in the news and is a story about a GREEN comet which is about to visit our solar system.
The astronomers assure us this newly discovered green comet last passed the Earth 50,000 years ago. I make no comment as to their accuracy on the dating of the comet.
The comet in my story I called “Comet Laissez-Faire”, which had a farther flung orbit than the green comet, only passing the Earth every half-million years.
Miles Longfellow, an astronomist, discovered the comet. This is his story, and the reason he gave the comet such a strange name.

Tunnel Tiger
My stories often have little snippets taken from my own life, or life experiences. In this video, the entire story is taken from my own experiences. I tell of the real-life incident which nearly ended my life. The incident being traumatic enough for me to see I should be anywhere but the Loch Awe (Scotland) Hydro-Electric construction site… This story is true, and I ended my employment with the company the moment my feet touched the ground, happily a lot slower than it might have been some hours before…

One Man’s Fault.
Have you ever done something which is meant to be private, affect only yourself? For instance: You’re not feeling very well, but you decide to continue as normal, however, it turns out you have a transmissible disease, something that affects everybody you know or meet. You are too ashamed to admit it to anybody, ignore it and hope it goes away.
It doesn’t! You destroy other people’s lives, either from the disease itself, or the lives of loved ones who have to look after you as your body disintegrates. Because you never looked for help, the whole series of events is YOUR fault!
As John Milton wrote in his epic poem ‘Paradise Lost’.
“Ah, why should all mankind for one man’s fault, be condemned, If guiltless?”
Such is the case of Wilson Small in Kenneth J Matthews’ book, “One Man’s Fault.”
Wilson Small created the crisis and is now the ONLY person who can save Humanity being deleted from the history of the planet Earth…

Animation of ‘The Santa Stone’
This is the animated forest scene from my book ‘The Santa Stone’, here the children meet the ‘Godfairy’, who may, or may not, be able to help them… The Godfairy is not very happy when she finds out that the ‘Warriors’, who have been foretold to save the world and Santa Claus, from the evil wizard ‘Malocadir’, are children! Will the empty pages of “Aymon Kelric’s book of Foretelling” tell of triumph, or will the children perish on this strange world. The music, “The Sugar Plum Fairy” in the animation, is arranged and played by guitar maestro “Quist”, the one-time lead guitarist with Bryan Ferry and now master of his own destiny…

Spring-cleaning
I wrote this particular comment several years ago and have published several books (look-up Kenneth J Matthews on Amazon) since this blog appeared on Facebook. Why the memory? Hilda has started spring-cleaning again…
My partner is currently spring cleaning and I have caught the bug and am clearing out my computer/writing room. During the activity I came across some of my old film scripts… To mention four: The Haunting of Maggie, Aed MacGregor, Saturday the Fourteenth and Translation. I always saw these as Feature Films or TV series…
The Haunting of Maggie- Supernatural. A woman condemned as a witch in 1697 comes back to exact revenge on the descendants of the Sheriff who condemned her to death… and does so in a variety of interesting ways…
Aed MacGregor- A 1950’s onwards survival drama. Aed, a child from a remote Scottish Isle is sent to the Big School in Glasgow to learn English and be something better than his parents. He is mercilessly bullied and his development is rather different from that his Mum and Dad envisaged…
Saturday the Fourteenth- A Sci-Fi multidimensional Fantasy. Film Producer Neil Meffan and I scratched the surface of this story with the short film “Room 14″…
Translation- A Post WW2 drama that follows the story of orphan children in the bombed out ruins of Clydebank, Glasgow. Led by Bobby Gilchrist they steal in order to survive, then become a gang that becomes feared throughout the City…
Apart from the stories mentioned above, or the works already published by Amazon, I have several other works at varying stages of completion. Gravitational Pull, The Third Eye, The Vulgate Manuscripts, ( the third in the Supernatural series of One Mans Fault) etc.

Promotional Scripting
I’m working on a film script as a promotional tool for my new book, “An Unexpected Turn of Events”. I realized in order to show Konrad Kane’s (the hero in the book) upward arc from disadvantaged, bullied and generally downtrodden lad, to that of a rock-n-roll Superstar, I would need to have some rock music in the video. To that end I searched my computer for my own copyright music.
That lead me to discovering an audio file on my computer of me singing ‘Lucille’ in a duo called ‘Track Two’, Rab Hutchinson was my partner in the duo. Alas it was not a video, just an audio recording! I tried to put it on YouTube, but they wouldn’t allow it because it was audio). I then decided to have a bit of fun and turn it into some form of video… well, anything for a laugh…

This is a scene taken from my novel “The Chronicle of Konrad Kane” Konrad finds that people can be cruel to young boys when he is attacked at work.
This is a reading taken from my book “The Chronicle of Konrad Kane”. The novel is very loosely based on incidents taken from my own life, from boy soldier at a military school to Rock superstar (I never actually made it to superstardom, hence it’s a novel…). This reading is an account of a true incident in my life, shortly before I started in a band. I had started work as an engineering apprentice and found myself at the mercy of a fearsome bully… (Names and places have been changed)

The Third Eye
After experimental brain surgery, Samuel Heath is about to leave hospital with British Security Services showing interest in recruiting him.
The operation had to be carried out on Samuel after a road traffic accident which left him at deaths door with half of his brain destroyed. A secret surgical procedure was carried out on his brain which had totally unexpected results, leading to a scramble for his services.
However, not everyone is convinced Samuel Heath is an asset. The scientist, Jacob McIntyre, who carried out the operation, believes Samuel’s powers may be a danger to humanity…

Looking for advice.
The fate of Humanity rested on the shoulders of Wilson Small and the Fallen Angel who had been allowed to assist him!
Hello everyone, I’m looking for advice from my friends. I need to publicise my books so people know the books (and me) actually exist in the literary world. The problem is I exist on a more or less basic pension and can afford very little for advertising… I have come to the point where I realise I have to invest some of my pension in an attempt to publicise my books (to generate some income), even if it’s only as an experiment. The problem is I’m a babe in arms in the sphere of advertising and any advice would be very much appreciated.
