Becky Day fell in love with the idea of living in Derbyshire when she first read Pride & Prejudice. Although living in a house like Pemberley may have been a little out of the question, she was determined to fulfil her dream. So, in 2014 she took the leap and rented a cottage in a village just outside of Bakewell.

Luckily for her she managed to find her Darcy in the tall and handsome form of a fell runner who mistook her tent for his at a music festival. But that is another story.

Becky enjoys reading, writing and baking. When not found with her head in a book she can be found walking the wild landscapes of Derbyshire, although not in a bonnet! She loves rainy days, long summer evenings and warm winter nights in front of the fire with the man ...more

I'm lucky to live in a very beautiful part of the UK, I can open my front door and within a few steps I'm walking through the beautiful English countryside. There is really nothing more inspiring to get through that wall all writers collide with from time to time.(less)

It sounds really easy, but it isn't. Sometimes even the thought of writing can be a big enough hurdle itself, let alone putting it out there for others to read. But take courage, we've all been there. Writers have always inspired people, just think who you could inspire. Now pick up your pen, and write. Good Luck!(less)
