Because of my health issues, I had a lot of forced waiting when I really needed to be working on my book, or later in the process a lot of waiting on other people and such to do things. In the end, it was a frantic rush, and not being able to do anything while I waited made it harder to trust God. Especially when I didn't know what was coming or how it would turn out, and I'd never done it before (so I did a lot of second guessing too). So yeah... the hardest part was trusting God in the unknowns and the waiting and the doubts. :)(less)

You Don’t Have To Tell Your Hard Story

I tell my story for a living. I’m an author and a speaker, you see. And my story is a doozy: Trauma, chronic illness, loss of my home, loved ones battling suicide, and being given a month to live paint some of the broad strokes. Hope, growth, healing, and joy bring the picture to life.

Getting to share what God has done in my life is a joy. The Bible says that believers overcome “by the blood of t
